Development of an Efficient Data Storage System for Managing Electronic Device Test Results with Apache Cassandra

This paper presents the development of a system for storing electronic device test results using Apache Cassandra, a highly scalable and distributed NoSQL database. The research focuses on Cassandra database design principles and the implementation of a C# library for efficient data recording and retrieval. The proposed methodology consists of three key components: (1) designing an automated test sequence for an integrated DC/DC power supply module, (2) formulating a database structure using Query-Driven Data Modeling and the Chebotko Diagrams to optimize query performance, and (3) developing a test program to facilitate seamless integration between the testing system and the Cassandra database. Furthermore, the system provides real-time data visualization and analytics through Power BI, enabling users to efficiently monitor and analyze test results. The proposed approach enhances system scalability, ensures efficient handling of large datasets, and improves the accuracy and reliability of test processes within the electronics industry. The findings of this research highlight the potential of using Apache Cassandra for handling large-scale test result storage, offering a highly efficient and scalable solution for electronic device industries that require large-scale data storage with high availability and fault tolerance.
