A Study of Wireless Charging Efficiency and Operational Range in Mobile Robot Auto-Docking

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) play a crucial role in modern industrial and logistical operations, facilitating automated material transport, inventory management, and assembly processes across various sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, and retail. Equipped with advanced sensor fusion and AI-driven path planning, they can operate for extended periods with minimal human intervention. However, they periodically require recharging. Wireless charging offers significant advantages over traditional contact-based docking systems, but further research is necessary to enhance efficiency. This paper investigates wireless charging systems for AMRs, providing insights to support future optimization and refinement of charging performance.
