Enhancing imaging performance with hybrid ND and IR-cut filter technology for daytime and nighttime applications
The performance of imaging systems is often challenged by varying lighting conditions, especially in both daytime and nighttime environments. In bright environments, excessive light exposure can cause sensor saturation, leading to image distortion and a loss of detail in the highlights. In low-light settings, insufficient visibility may cause a loss of detail, reducing system effectiveness. To overcome these challenges, we suggest using a combination of Neutral Density (ND) and IR-Cut filters. ND filters help limit overexposure in bright conditions, while the IR-Cut filter ensures accurate color reproduction by blocking infrared light. This hybrid approach significantly enhances imaging performance by improving image quality in both high and low-light environments. By utilizing both filters together, imaging systems achieve optimized performance across a wide range of lighting conditions, providing a reliable solution for diverse applications.
