High-throughput hyperspectral terahertz imaging systems based on plasmonic nanoantenna arrays

Existing terahertz time-domain imaging systems are still based on a single-pixel architecture, which requires 2D raster scanning to capture an image, limiting the imaging speed. To address this limitation, we present new designs of hyperspectral terahertz imaging systems that utilize arrays of plasmonic nanoantennas to enable high-throughput spectroscopic imaging over a broad terahertz spectrum.

Abstract

Existing terahertz time-domain imaging systems are still based on a single-pixel architecture, which requires 2D raster scanning to capture an image, limiting the imaging speed. To address this limitation, we present new designs of hyperspectral terahertz imaging systems that utilize arrays of plasmonic nanoantennas to enable high-throughput spectroscopic imaging over a broad terahertz spectrum.
