Earth-abundant materials for transient photonics

In this talk, I will summarize our recent results regarding the implementation of earth-abundant materials, such as Mg and MgO, for transient photonics. The chemical properties of the materials will be discussed in detail, and examples of optical devices that can vanish after stable operation, including color filters and superabsorbers, will be presented.

Abstract

In this talk, I will summarize our recent results regarding the implementation of earth-abundant materials, such as Mg and MgO, for transient photonics. The chemical properties of the materials will be discussed in detail, and examples of optical devices that can vanish after stable operation, including color filters and superabsorbers, will be presented.
