Cavity exciton-polariton condensation in perovskite quantum dots at room-temperature
In this study, we demonstrate room-temperature polariton condensation using a thin film of monodisperse colloidal CsPbBr₃ quantum dots embedded in a tunable optical microcavity. The cavity incorporates a Gaussian-shaped deformation, which functions as a wavelength-scale potential well for polaritons. Under pulsed optical excitation, we observe key signatures of polariton condensation, including a characteristic superlinear increase in emission intensity, linewidth narrowing, energy blueshift, and extended temporal coherence. These findings highlight the potential of perovskite-based colloidal quantum dots, renowned for their outstanding optical properties and high tunability, as a favourable platform for next-generation polaritonic devices.
