Enhancing Accuracy in FDTD Near-to-Far-Field Transformations Using a Phase Shift Interpolation
We present an efficient technique for enhancing the accuracy of near-to-far field (NTFF) transformations in the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. By incorporating phase-shift FFT interpolation, our approach significantly improves the precision and reliability of far-field predictions based on simulated near-field data. The proposed method has been rigorously validated through comprehensive simulations, demonstrating at least a 25% accuracy improvement over existing techniques. This advancement enables more precise far-field predictions without increasing computational demands, making it a valuable tool for electromagnetic simulations.
