Impact of knock-on exchange terms on (³He, t) charge exchange reactions leading to isobaric analog states

Here, the composite particle charge exchange reactions ( 3 He, t) on different targets including 13 C, 18 O, 26 Mg, 58 Ni, 90 Zr, 120 Sn and 208 Pb leading to the isobaric analog states (IAS) have been examined. The unit cross-section () and differential cross-section have been calculated using both normal and single optical model potential parameters by employing antisymmetric distorted wave impulse approximation (DWIA).It is predicted that the presence of knock-on exchange terms contribution causes a significant reduction in the magnitude of both observables, which eventually reduces the gap between the data and the predictions. Also, the calculated elastic scattering results are found to be in good agreement with the corresponding data at forward angles.
