Technological Potential as The Basis of International Competitiveness of National Industry

The relevance of the presented study lies in the fact that in the conditions of innovative development of the world economy at the beginning of the sixth technological order, for the effective development of the national industry it is necessary to assess its technological potential and choose the directions of its development, ensuring the growth of international competitiveness. In this regard, the purpose of this work is to study the prospects for the development of the technological potential of the national industry, since it determines the directions and possibilities of introducing technological innovations in the economic systems of industry at the micro, meso and macro levels, which in the modern innovative economy play a key role in the competition of economic entities for raw materials and commodity markets at the regional and global levels. The scientific novelty of the presented study lies in the correction of the widespread hypothesis that technological development occurs as a result of the change of technologies within the framework of technological structures of the economy with the dominance of the technological core of the order of fifty years with a life cycle of about one hundred years, in favor of the hypothesis that technological development occurs as a result of the layering of technological achievements of the subsequent structure on the technological achievements of previous structures, gradually shrinking in relative volume (the hypothesis of the "layered pie of technologies" in economic development). For the fi rst time, it was proposed to take into account the moral obsolescence over time of technologies that determine the basis of any technological structure in their relationship in the "layered pie" scheme of technologies of a multi-structure national economy using the smoothing coefficient of R. Brown. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the fact that it is the fact of layering the basic technologies of the new structure on the basic technologies of previous technological structures of the world economy that should be taken into account when planning the socio-economic development of the economy of the national industry.

Abstract

The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the fact that it is the fact of layering the basic technologies of the new structure on the basic technologies of previous technological structures of the world economy that should be taken into account when planning the socio-economic development of the economy of the national industry.
