Lightweight intelligent modulation format recognition algorithm based on frequency-domain optoelectronic computing chip

Signal modulation recognition is a hot research issue in the field of communication. With the rise of artificial intelligence technology, neural network algorithms have greatly contributed to the development of automatic modulation recognition technology. However, the increasingly complex network structure brings many challenges to electrical computing hardware in terms of arithmetic power and energy efficiency. Optical computing, as a complementary solution to electrical computing, has received extensive attention from researchers due to its advantages of large bandwidth, low energy consumption, and high parallelism. In this paper, based on the self-developed frequency-domain optoelectronic computing chip, oriented to the problem of automatic modulation recognition in the communication process, a lightweight intelligent algorithm is developed, which uses only about 1/8 of the network parameters of the similar work, and achieves basically the same level of results, which gives a new idea for the automatic modulation recognition of signals.
