Color revolutions are essentially special operations of hybrid warfare aimed at carrying out a coup d'état, and are carried out using political, informational, communicational, sabotage-terrorist, and moral-psychological methods of influence in gross violation of international law. In the final part of the paper, the author concludes that every nation-state is exposed to forms of hybrid warfare that contain elements of unconventional actions in order to exploit vulnerabilities, weaken national values, undermine democratic values and freedoms, destabilize state institutions and damage the reputations and influence of nation-states. Within the framework of preparing (developing) the content of the paper, the author uses the following methods for security research - the author used the general scientific methods: the descriptive method, the normative method, the comparative method and the content analysis method.
