A Study on Identifying the Key Elements of Employee Engagement in Relation to the Faculty Role at Mahesh PU College
Employee engagement has emerged as a vital factor in shaping organizational success, particularly in academic institutions where faculty performance directly influences student outcomes and institutional growth. This study focuses on identifying the key elements of employee engagement in relation to the faculty role at Mahesh PU College. It explores how factors such as job satisfaction, professional development, recognition, leadership support, and work-life balance contribute to faculty commitment and overall institutional effectiveness. The research draws insights from surveys and interviews conducted among faculty members, capturing their perceptions regarding teaching responsibilities, workload management, communication practices, and opportunities for career advancement. Findings indicate that while faculty members value a supportive environment and recognition of their contributions, challenges such as limited growth opportunities and high workload continue to affect engagement levels. Secondary data from education reports and engagement models are also incorporated to strengthen the study, highlighting the increasing importance of employee engagement in the higher education sector. Results suggest that institutions focusing on faculty well-being, collaborative culture, and transparent leadership are more likely to sustain long-term commitment and academic excellence. Overall, the study emphasizes that faculty engagement is not only about job satisfaction but also about creating a meaningful connection between teachers and their institution. Strengthening these engagement drivers can lead to enhanced motivation, improved teaching outcomes, and stronger institutional reputation in an increasingly competitive educational landscape.
