Տարածքային զարգացման անհավասարության պատճառներն ու հետևանքները ՀՀ-ում / Economic Causes and Consequences of Territorial Development Inequality in the Republic of Armenia

. In the contemporary context, uneven territorial development exerts a significant indirect influence on the national economy, the formation and distribution of labor resources, and the overall stability of society. Addressing the causes, consequences, and potential solutions to territorial inequality has become a central priority in the development of effective regional policy aimed at promoting sustainable socio-economic growth. Over the past two decades, the pronounced concentration of economic activity and resources in the capital city, Yerevan, has contributed to the depopulation of regional settlements and a noticeable decline in living standards outside the capital. These dynamics pose serious challenges to the effective implementation of national strategies focused on poverty reduction, balanced territorial development, and the achievement of long-term socio-economic resilience.
