Nano-emitters with 2D materials integration and modulation
Silicon photonics enables high-speed optical communication but faces miniaturization challenges due to the diffraction limit. This study leverages Surface Plasmon Polaritons (SPPs) with metallic nanostructures and graphene detection to achieve nanoscale optoelectronic integration. Additionally, indium phosphide (InP) nanowires (NWs) serve as coherent light sources, with ionic liquid gating enabling threshold reduction and wavelength tuning. Finally, nanoscale Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (nano-FTIR) is used to investigate single-photon emitters in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN), providing insights into their origins. These advancements contribute to next-generation nanophotonic and quantum technologies.
