HOW TO TRANSFER INNOVATION MANAGEMENT METHODS TO CORPORATE PRACTICE
Many innovation management methods that have the potential to create added value in product development are not used in corporate practice. This work aims to develop an approach to support the transfer of innovation management methods from research to corporate practice. To this end, three studies will be conducted. The systematic literature review as part of a descriptive study I reveals 11 success factors for transferring innovation management methods as well as existing transfer approaches. The result of the prescriptive study is a five-stage transfer approach with operationalised key questions. The developed approach was evaluated in two stages in the descriptive study II. In stage I, an expert interview study was conducted with four experts. In stage II, a systematic approach for future-robust advancement of product portfolios as a transfer object will be transferred in a workshop setup with two companies. The evaluation shows the initial success of the transfer approach.
