Developing Pedagogical Readiness for Innovative Activities in a Forward Engineering School
Forward Engineering Schools (FES) have been established to address the challenges of the country’s scientific and technological development. The article deals with the peculiarities of the educational process in forward engineering schools. It is shown that professional training in (FES) is characterized by the implementation of the educational process based on the latest scientific and technological information and relevant information of partner enterprises; application of effective educational technologies; active use of digital resources; stimulation of students’ educational and self-educational activities. The authors have analyzed the importance of improving the professional skills of FES lecturers and created a model for developing pedagogical readiness for innovative activities in chemical and technological FES. The process of developing pedagogical readiness for innovative activities in PIS is industry-specific, implemented in stages, and involves improving teachers qualifications in various formats. The article describes the results of a study on the effectiveness of the proposed model for developing pedagogical readiness for innovative activities in forward engineering schools. The conclusions, presented in the paper, are based on analysis of literature data and the implementation experience of the educational program at FES KNRTU "PromKhimTech" "Chemical Engineering of Low-Carbon Closed-Cycle Technologies". The results of the experimental study indicate that a step-by-step process contributes to the improvement of existing professional competencies and the formation of new ones that are relevant for the organisation and implementation of an industry-oriented educational process.
