BIBLICISM: SCOPE OF THE CONCEPT, IDENTIFYING CRITERIA, DEFINITION

The main definitions of the term ‘biblicism’ are analyzed and compared on the basis of linguistic dictionaries and individual articles. The differential features of biblical units are revealed and the semantic field of biblical units is modeled on this basis. The differences between biblical and semantically similar units are determined. A definition of the term ‘biblicism’ suitable for practical use is formulated.
