Nguyen Anh Quoc’s Philosophy of Liberating Reason and Reconstructing Humanity in the Technocratic Age
This paper examines Nguyen Anh Quoc's concept of utilizing reason to liberate the mind and reconstruct humanity in the context of the 21st century's vast technological landscape. Quoc says we should not make reason just about numbers. We should not base our reasoning on mere guesswork. He shows how algorithmic, data regimes, and institutions that rely on their measurements turn away from the true, dialogic, and creative sides of human thought. He further diagnoses the fragmentation of human nature into commodifiable elements—biological survival, creativity, and spiritual life—each subordinated to systems of ownership and exchange. Grounded in an interdisciplinary, critical, and humanistic paradigm, his framework integrates the body, memory, responsibility, and creativity as foundational dimensions of reconstruction. Liberation, for Quoc, is not merely the removal of constraints but the cultivation of conditions in which reason re-engages with lived experience, resists imposed norms, and fosters critical dialogue. Reconstruction, in turn, is envisioned as creating a new existential order anchored in truth, creativity, and freedom. By making liberation and rebuilding seem to go together, Quoc gives a way to fight back against technocratic ways of life and to steer the growth of tech and orgs toward the good of humans. This way of thinking not only contributes to current discussions on ideas but also informs laws, schools, and the best approach to guiding technology.
