Antropologia e permacultura: intrecci ermeneutici e simbiosi professionali

The analysis of ecological movements involves various branches of an-thropology. In neo-rural margins, in particular, different possibilities for coexis-tence and the interpretation of the nature-culture space can be observed, where humans and non-humans can cooperate for ecosystem reproduction and respond to the risks of an environment-in-crisis. Permaculture, as a cultural movement, agricultural practice, and holistic vision of inhabited space, encourages ethno-graphers to develop new models for landscape anthropization. Here, the authors propose an epistemological comparison between anthropology and permaculture, highlighting the following points of convergence: (a) research approach; (b) se-lection of the object (meanings/functions); (c) construction of the field and recogni-tion of forces (social, ecological, political); (d) valorization of the margin as a con-cept and process; and (e) interdisciplinary permeability. Given the limited acade-mic exploration of this topic, this contribution aims to provide an applied profile of an increasingly globally rooted imaginary.
