The location method of single-phase grounding faults in distribution network overhead line engineering based on Bipopulation Firefly Algorithm-Genetic Algorithm
During the inspection of overhead line projects in distribution networks, it is time-consuming, labor-intensive and inefficient, making it difficult to meet the demand for rapid response in modern power grids. Therefore, a single-phase grounding fault location method for distribution network overhead line projects based on the Bipopulation Firefly Algorithm-Genetic Algorithm (BFAGA) algorithm is proposed. The Extreme-Point Symmetric Mode Decomposition (ESMD) method was adopted to process the fault transient zero-sequence current signal, obtaining the intrinsic mode function and margin. In view of the situation where the fault might occur in the main or branch of the line, the loop voltage equation was established, and the calculation formula of the fault distance was derived. Based on the BFAGA algorithm, the location of single-phase grounding fault sections is achieved. By receiving and processing data from multiple transformer ends and conducting operations according to the topological structure of the distribution network, the location of the fault point is obtained. The experimental results show that the curve of the proposed method is steeper and smoother, with relatively smaller errors and an accuracy rate of 96.60%, which almost coincides with the actual zero-sequence current waveform.
