Enhancing the Resilience of Distribution Grid Systems by Considering Energy Storage Capacity Configuration
This paper focuses on enhacing the economic efficiency of power systems during regular operation and improving their resilience to extreme natural disasters. We proposes a strategy that enhances the resilience of distribution grid systems by considering the configuration and deployment of energy storage capacity. In terms of energy storage capacity configuration, typical day scenarios are established for seasonal conditions, and an optimization strategy is proposed to minimize the costs associated with battery energy storage lifespan degradation, power purchase, and sale, and maintenance costs for renewable energy systems. For pre-disaster deployment of energy storage systems, we analyze multiple typical fault scenarios to determine the optimal placement of energy storage systems that minimizes the weighted load reduction. Simulation results indicate that the optimized configuration reduces operating costs while strategic deployment lowers weighted load shedding costs and strengthens the distribution grid’s resilience.
