VSG Control Strategy Based on Virtual Inertia and Damping Adaptive Control
In inverter control systems, the virtual synchronous generator (VSG) control strategy effectively compensates for the lack of inertia commonly found in distributed energy grid-connected systems, thereby helping to stabilise grid frequency. The paper proposes an adaptive virtual inertia-based VSG control strategy to improve the system's robustness and refine its frequency response. This approach combines the power angle curve of the synchronous generator with the physical significance of rotor inertia, achieving more accurate and responsive control. Simulink simulations show how well the proposed control strategy works. These simulations compare it with the standard VSG approach, which uses fixed inertia. The results verify the accuracy and enhanced performance of the adaptive inertia-based method.
