Two-layer multi-objective capacity optimization for island microgrid using improved secretary bird algorithm
Microgrid is a reliable power system with high renewable energy penetration and efficient coordination of multiple distributed energy sources. The rational configuration of microgrid is a key factor to ensure the efficiency and sustainability of microgrid operation. This paper proposes an island microgrid capacity optimization scheme integrating wind energy, solar energy, biomass energy and energy storage. Considering the uncertainty of renewable energy, a two-layer multi-objective capacity configuration model is established to achieve the goal of grid-friendly and economic operation of renewable energy systems. Furthermore, the improved multi-objective secretary bird optimization algorithm (IMOSBOA) is proposed, which combines the advantages of SBOA algorithm and considers Pareto non-dominated sorting, optimal compromise scheme decision, good point set strategy and differential evolution mutation strategy. The results show that the IMOSBOA can efficiently solve the proposed model and objectively determine the comprehensive optimal scheme.
