Adaptive Trust Management in Dynamic Multi-Cloud Environments using Performance Specifications and Real-Time Policy Matching

With the rising popularity of multi-clouds, trust management has become essential to ensure secure and dependable service delivery. Existing trust models are not designed to handle the dynamic characteristics of multi-cloud systems, where fluctuating performance, varying SLAs, and emerging security risks significantly affect reliability. This work proposes an adaptive trust management framework that uses performance specifications (P-Specs) and a Policy Matching Engine (PME) to evaluate trust in real time. P-Specs measures CSP performance using metrics like availability, latency, and data integrity, while PME performs live compliance checks to dynamically update trust levels. The proposed system supports anomaly detection and policy enforcement to mitigate security threats and optimize decision-making. Experimental results using a simulated multicloud environment demonstrate enhanced accuracy, responsiveness, and policy compliance. This paper presents a robust and scalable trust management solution to improve security and reliability in heterogeneous dynamic infrastructures.
