Research on Medium and Long term Optimization Configuration of Various Power Sources in Guizhou Province

In recent years, Guizhou has achieved significant results in energy structure adjustment. Data shows that since 2008, the proportion of thermal power installed capacity in Guizhou has decreased from 74% to 43.6% in 2024, while the proportion of new energy installed capacity represented by hydropower, wind power, and photovoltaics exceeds 56%. In the future, the demand for electricity in Guizhou will continue to grow for a long time. This article couples the carbon dioxide emissions of electricity with traditional power system operation simulation, and successfully achieves the optimization configuration results of various power sources in Guizhou through the power system production simulation method with the goal of minimizing the total carbon dioxide emissions. This provides a reference for ensuring the electricity demand in Guizhou and ensuring the healthy and stable development of the economy and society.
