Research on Economic Dispatch of Virtual Power Plants Considering Electrochemical Hydrogen Storage Configuration
Virtual power plant efficiently integrates new energy generation, energy storage, and other resources through control technology, playing a significant role in achieving the "dual carbon" goals. To enhance the renewable energy consumption rate of virtual power plants, an economic dispatch model considering the configuration of different types of energy storage systems has been developed. First, a virtual power plant structure incorporating wind power, solar power, thermal power, and energy storage systems was proposed, along with its mathematical model. Second, considering the curtailment of wind and solar power, as well as system operation and maintenance costs and carbon emission costs, a dispatch model with economic optimality as the objective function was established and solved. Finally, a comparative analysis was conducted on the economic impact of two energy storage methods on the dispatch of virtual power plants and their ability to consume wind and solar energy. The results demonstrated that hydrogen storage can better achieve economical operation of the virtual power plant and significantly improve the consumption rate of wind and solar energy.
