Research on Fault Section Location Method of Mining Area Distribution Network Based on Peak Polarity of Fault Current Mutation Quantity
The fault location capability of the distribution network in the mining area is directly related to the reliability of power supply and production safety. Due to the special structure of the power grid in the mining area compared with the traditional distribution network, its fault location faces severe challenges. The article proposes a fault section location method for the distribution network in mining areas based on the peak polarity of the sudden change in fault current. By comparing the peak polarity of the sudden change in fault current, the fault section is accurately located and power supply to the non-fault section is quickly achieved. The simulation results show that the location accuracy of the said method is significantly improved.
