An Improved Particle Swarm Optimization-based Partitioning Method of Distribution Grids for Cooperative Regulation of Photovoltaic-Energy Storage-DC-Flexible
With the transition of modern power systems toward high-penetration renewable energy integration, the large-scale disordered deployment of Photovoltaic-Energy Storage-DC-Flexible (PEDF) building clusters poses significant challenges to conventional distribution networks, including difficulties in centralized control, structural complexity escalation, multidimensional regulatory constraints, and limited communication resources. To address these challenges, this study proposes a cluster partitioning method for distribution networks based on an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, providing a foundation for establishing coordinated zonal control in PEDF distribution networks with high regional autonomy. First, a comprehensive evaluation system is established, integrating electrical modularity, voltage regulation capability, and node compactness, and the optimal partitions are determined based on optimization results. Second, the improved PSO algorithm is employed to solve the optimal composite index. Finally, to validate the method’s effectiveness, a case study is conducted using a 10kV distribution network topology in Beijing. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed approach can balance partition scales, improve voltage regulation capability, reduce computational complexity, enhance system response speed and reliability, and provide theoretical support for subsequent optimal dispatch.
