Flexibility Quantitative Modeling of Supply and Demand for Renewable Energy Power System
The increasing permeability of renewable energy sources has significantly reduced the flexibility of renewable energy power systems. This paper proposes a quantitative analysis model for evaluating the flexibility supply and demand in novel power systems. The flexibility demands are analyzed by considering the uncertainties of wind and photovoltaic (PV) power using Copula theory. The flexibility supply analysis comprehensively considers both power-side and demand-side effects. A regulation factor is brought in to characterize the ability of various resources to engage in flexibility regulation, thus establishing a flexibility supply-demand equilibrium constraint. At last, the simulation results show that this method is effective in representing the contributions of different resources to the grid flexibility.
