Study on stator turn-to-turn short circuit detection of permanent magnet synchronous motor based on IAP
In recent years, permanent magnet synchronous motors have been widely used because of their excellent performance. However, various problems will occur when the motor runs for a long time, and stator turn-to-turn short circuit is one of its common faults. The traditional stator turn-to-turn short circuit fault detection method mostly uses the second harmonic of the current as the characteristic quantity, but due to the influence of the bandwidth of the current regulator in the closed-loop system, the method may be biased in judging the severity of the fault. For this reason, this paper investigates in detail the effect of the current loop bandwidth on the current and voltage, and analyzes the optimization of the second harmonic value of the instantaneous active power(IAP) of the permanent magnet motor on the judgment results. The experimental results show that the new eigenvalue improves the accuracy of judgment under different bandwidths and has strong potential for engineering applications.
