Feasibility Analysis of Optical Differential Protection Fibre Channel Retrofit at Hongliu Pressure Gas Station
As an artery of west-east gas transmission, Hongliu Pressure Station adopts a double-circuit power supply system. However, its power is only supplied by one superior substation. Once the external power is lost, the generator can't operate normally and the whole station stops transmission, which will cause significant economic loss, so the importance of its external power line is self-evident. Based on this, a new optical fibre differential protection fault analysis method and optical fibre channel modification scheme are proposed to improve the reliability of the external differential protection at Hongliu Pressure Gas Station, and the proposed method can identify the optical fibre disconnection faults with 100%, and the identification rate of the disconnection faults of the 2 M interface devices on both sides is also 100%, and the performance of the fault diagnosis is stable.By transforming the fibre optic multiplexing channel into a dedicated ring network, the protection capability of the external power line of Hongliu Gas Pressure Station has been significantly improved, and there will be no more alarms after fibre breakage accidents, and the broken fibre will have enough time to be repaired and used as a backup, so that the power supply reliability and safety are guaranteed.
