PCB Nanogenerator-Based Pipeline Energy Harvester With a Simple Input Voltage Sampling Bridgeless AC–DC Converter
To achieve pipeline-oriented EH, this letter proposes a mini turbine-driven PCB nanogenerator and an asymmetrical bridgeless AC-DC converter for fluid kinetic energy collection. The axial-flux permanent-magnet (AFPM) PCB nanogenerator has a compact structure and high power density. Besides, an asymmetric bridgeless AC-DC converter with a resistor-based input voltage sampling network is proposed, which is input diode free. The PCB nanogenerator structure, the bridgeless circuit operation modes, and circuit control logic are presented, along with simulations. Finally, the proposed EH system is built and tested, which can harvest 96mW at the rotational velocity of 1500rpm.
