Abstract

We are pleased to inform readers that JKMS has newly strengthened its "Graphic Tools" function. The updated system now allows users to easily generate baseline tables-an essential element in nearly all medical papers-together with clear plots.Categorical and continuous variables can be summarized, subgroup analyses applied, and diverse visualization options such as bar graphs, density plots, and boxplots provided. This enhancement enables more consistent, efficient, and visually effective presentation of research findings. Injection-Based Therapies for Migraine in OlderAdults: A Narrative Review of OnabotulinumtoxinA, Greater Occipital Nerve Block, and Anti Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide Monoclonal Antibodies.Cho SJ, et al.This narrative review addresses migraine prevention in older adults, who often face comorbidities, polypharmacy, and reduced tolerance to standard therapies. It evaluates three injection-based treatments: onabotulinumtoxinA (BoNT-A), greater occipital nerve block (GONB), and calcitonin gene-related peptide monoclonal antibodies (CGRP mAbs).Evidence from 22 studies shows that BoNT-A reduces migraine frequency and disability, GONB demonstrates high response rates though trial data in elderly are limited, and CGRP mAbs provide effective, safe prevention up to age 75.Overall, these therapies appear well tolerated and effective, underscoring the need for age-specific clinical trials.
