Modeling and analysis of continuous detection system for space debris in ultra-low-orbit
There are vast amounts of space debris orbiting around the Space Station. Due to its wide distribution, large quantity, small size and influence by the thin atmosphere, issues such as shadow zones where visible light cameras cannot detect, cross-border observation limitations, and inaccurate orbit predictions caused by harsh space environments pose potential threats to the safe operation of both the Chinese and International Space Stations. In response to the safety requirements of manned space stations, based on the analysis of the space distribution characteristics of space debris in orbit, radiation and positioning performance models has been established, and simulation analysis has been performed on the characteristics of space debris and the parameters of the detection system. At last a continuous monitoring system scheme for ultra-low-orbit space debris is proposed, and simulation results of target positioning performance are provided.
