THE ROLE OF LITERATURE IN ENSURING SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: ON THE EXAMPLE OF TRADITIONAL AND INNOVATIVE POETRY
The article is dedicated to the issue of tradition and innovation in poetry. As we know, sustainable development means not only the economy, but also the improvement of the spiritual and cultural level of society. In this regard, literature, as a spiritual guide, contributes to sustainable development by influencing people's thinking, values, and attitudes. For this reason, the old and the new, tradition and innovation, are among the most studied topics in literature. The theme of tradition and innovation in poetry reflects different periods of rich literary history and different approaches of writers. The preservation of traditional values and the creation of innovations in literature were characteristic of that period. These two processes played an important role in the development of poetry. Traditional poetry, especially in the 19th and early 20th centuries, was dominated by more classical forms and themes. Tradition is important in the historical development of poetry and the formation of literature. Innovation is more evident in the internal features of the poem. Innovation is manifested in new and unique figurative means of expression in poetry. As a result, poetry as a whole develops and becomes richer.
