Adenocarcinoma of the head of the pancreas in a 28-year-old patient: report of an exceptional case
Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is rarely diagnosed in young adults. We present here the case of pancreatic head adenocarcinoma detected at an early stage in the youngest patient documented in the national literature. The symptomatology was marked by epigastric pain with generalized cutaneous mucosal jaundice. Radiological examinations revealed a nodular lesion in the head of the pancreas very suspicious of malignancy, accompanied by a tight stenosis of the lower choledocoque, as well as a dilation of the Wirsung canal and bile ducts. A duodenopancreatectomy DPC according to the Whipple technique was performed. Postoperative microscopic examination confirmed the presence of a well differentiated adenocarcinoma .This case highlights the possibility of developing pancreatic adenocarcinoma, even in the twentieth, with various clinical and pathological characteristics . It is essential to think about it during the diagnostic investigation to ensure an early diagnosis, which can improve the patient’s prognosis.
