Triarylmethyl-derived diradicals as emitters in organic light-emitting devices
Triarylmethyl radicals are stable organic open-shell emitters that fluoresce in the orange to deep red spectrum. These light-emitting radicals possess doublet ground and excited states, enabling high photoluminescence quantum yields. This unique property allows them to overcome the spin-statistical limitations of conventional closed-shell emitters. In OLEDs, high-performance radicals have achieved internal quantum efficiencies approaching 100%, making these open-shell molecules highly promising emitters for organic light-emitting devices. In this presentation, I will introduce an electron donor-bridged trityl diradical and discuss its electronic and spin-optical properties.
