MODELING OF THE CONTACT MASS TRANSFER PROCESS IN BEARING COATINGS USING MATLAB

The article is devoted to the study of methods for applying solid lubricant coatings to rolling bearing parts for operation in vacuum conditions. When developing and operating equipment operating in high vacuum conditions, it is necessary to take special measures to ensure the reliability and durability of friction surfaces in kinematic transmissions: bearings, gear and friction transmissions, rolling and sliding guides. The features of the vacuum environment, such as the high activity of surfaces, the absence of convective heat transfer, and the need to minimize gas emission and wear, are considered. A contact mass transfer method is described that allows coatings to be applied without the use of complex equipment. The results of modeling in MATLAB are presented, demonstrating the effect of the mass and velocity of the balls on the forces during coating application. The optimal parameters of the process are revealed, ensuring the durability and efficiency of bearings in vacuum. The data obtained can be used in mechanical engineering for the development of reliable vacuum mechanisms.
