Tendencias de la Educación Física en la secundaria en Colombia: revisión sistemática

Introduction and Objective: Physical Education (PE), according to the documents of the Ministry of National Education of Colombia (MEN) and also international documents such as the International Charter of Physical Education, Physical Activity and Sport of UNESCO, is described as a fundamental area in the teaching-learning processes of primary and secondary school. However, its historical developments go through various training approaches, articulated with conceptual and practical constructs that prioritize the development of certain competencies in students, making it relevant to identify the educational intentions in the pedagogical proposals of PE in Colombia and, with this, the trends on which they are based. Objective: to recognize the trends in physical education in basic secondary school over the last 20 years in Colombia. Methodology: A systematic review was conducted, using the criteria established by the PRISMA method (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis), in databases and institutional repositories. Content analysis based on inductive logic was used to determine PE trends. Results and Discussion: From the perspective of students and teachers, the educational intentions of PE are mainly oriented towards the development of aptitudes, motor skills, and expressive abilities. Conclusions: Skills associated with traditional sports, the possibilities arising from physical activity for health, and the intention of sensitive and reflective body practices are prioritized.
