The Effect on Training Suitability in Units (LDS) in the Leopard MBT Integrated Concept (Case Study at the Cavalry Batalyon 8/Nasinga Wiratama Divif 2 Kostrad)
The study aimed to analyze and find the effect of the application of LDS on the knowledge of the Leopard MBT battle concept and the maneuverability of the Leopard MBT Armored Fighting Vehicle crew. This study uses a quasi-experimental quantitative approach that uses descriptive analysis and is tested with inferential statistics. Hypothesis testing is done using a paired sample t-test. Collecting research data using battle concept ability tests and maneuver skills observation sheets. The sample was selected using two methods: a stratified random sampling technique and a randomization technique, which obtained 50 research respondents. The results showed that the average score of a soldier's battle concept ability before the LDS (pre-test) was 46.76, with a maximum score of 100 or about 47%. Meanwhile, the average score of the battle concept ability of soldiers after the LDS (post-test) is 58.20 or about 52%. Based on the T-test after LDS, it has a statistical value of t = 13,781 with a significance value of 0.000 < (0.025), with a value of count> from table: 13,781> 2.0098. The average score of maneuvering skills before LDS was 58.64. Meanwhile, the average score of maneuvering skills after LDS is 69.32; there is an influence between LDS and maneuvering skills with a value of count> from the table, which is 26,016 > 2,098. So, the treatment in the form of LDS positively affects the ability of the battle concept and the maneuvering skills of the Leopard MBT crew. Keywords: exercise in units, battle concept capability, manuver skills
