Research on 3D Virtual Simulation Teaching System of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion
Aiming at the core problems of 3D cognitive limitations, shortage of practical training resources and lack of feedback mechanism in traditional teaching of Chinese medicine and acupuncture, this study constructs a 3D virtual simulation teaching system of Chinese medicine and acupuncture based on WebGL. By comparing and analyzing the technology paths of international mainstream medical education platforms (such as Complete Anatomy and Visible Body), and combining the characteristics of Chinese medicine meridian theory, the system proposes a solution that integrates lightweight processing of models, cross-platform rendering of WebGL, and multimodal interaction. The system adopts a three-layer B/S architecture to realize multi-terminal collaboration, and integrates high-precision dynamic meridian models, force feedback physical simulation and intelligent assessment modules to form a “cognition-practice-assessment” closed-loop teaching system. The actual deployment verification shows that the special practical training modules, such as acupuncture and moxibustion, can support the stable operation of 200 concurrent users, and the 3D meridian interface has passed the interactive test, which significantly improves the trainee's positioning accuracy rate. Despite the bottleneck in rendering performance of low-end devices and the challenge of browser compatibility, the half-year stable operation data of the system confirms the feasibility of the technical solution. In the future, we will expand the AR anatomy overlay function through WebXR and standardize the construction of TCM-3D Schema to promote the continuous optimization of the digital teaching ecology of TCM.
