Research and Design of Distributed Voice Guidance System for the Blind
With the development of cities in China, urban road networks are become more and more complex, and the blind tracks are often obstructed by various facilities and items at random. At the same time, the lack of complete accessibility facilities in cities also poses a serious challenge and difficulty for the blind to travel independently. Therefore, the article proposes a voice guidance system for the blind based on a distributed architecture to help the blind travel independently. The system fully utilizes the flexibility and scalability of the distributed architecture to provide space and interfaces for the expansion of the guidance system functions. It uses Internet of Things (IoT) technology, image recognition technology, and voice recognition and broadcasting technology to realize functions such as road obstacle detection, blind pedestrian route recognition, obstacle avoidance, target and scene recognition, guidance, voice operation, and voice warning and broadcasting, providing comprehensive assistance to help the blind travel independently.
