Construction and Application of a Simulation System for Song Dynasty Interior Furnishing Oriented to Virtual Display

The interior furnishings of the Song Dynasty embody rich cultural connotations and aesthetic values, representing a significant component of traditional Chinese residential culture. To enable digital expression and immersive dissemination of typical Song-style interiors, this study develops a simulation system tailored for virtual display of Song Dynasty spatial furnishings. Based on sources such as the Yingzao Fashi, Song paintings, and physical artifacts, typical furnishing elements are extracted and classified into a structured model. Three-dimensional models are created using Blender, and a multi-scene interactive system is constructed on the Unity platform. The system consists of three core modules—loading, rendering, and interaction—and its functionality is verified through performance testing and user evaluation. The results demonstrate favorable response efficiency and visual performance. The system receives high ratings for visual realism and cultural atmosphere, confirming the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method. This research provides a novel technical framework for digital cultural heritage presentation, virtual restoration of traditional interiors, and museum education applications.
