Study on the structure and magnetic properties of Ce-Zn-Co co-doped Sr 1−x Ce x Fe 11.4 Co 0.2 Zn 0.4 O 19

Abstract M-type ferrite is widely used in new energy vehicles, power electronics and other fields due to its low cost, high stability and high magnetic properties. In this paper, M-type ferrite samples containing Ce-Zn-Co were prepared by high-temperature sintering method. The structural characteristics of the samples were tested by x-ray diffractometer. The results indicated that Sr 1−x Ce x Fe 11.4 Co 0.2 Zn 0.4 O 19 were all M-type ferrite crystals of the hexagonal crystal system. When Ce >0.1 mol, the impurity phase of iron oxide shows a significant increase. The saturation magnetization of the sample decreased from 63.93 emu g −1 to 33.44 emu g −1 , a reduction of 47.69%, and the coercive force decreased from 3369.59 Oe to 1549.69 Oe, a reduction of 54.01%. The change in magnetic properties is attributed to the substitution of Sr 2+ by Ce 3+ and the preferential occupation of the 4f1 site by Zn 2+ , which reduces the anti-parallel spin contribution of Fe 3+ . With the increase in the doping amount of Ce 3+ and the substitution of Fe 3+ by Zn 2+ , the increase in iron oxide impurities reduces the magnetic properties of the sample. The comprehensive performance of the samples indicates that it has a good application prospect in components such as on-board chargers in the new energy power system.
