Comparative Analysis and Optimization Design of High-performance Low-rare-earth Hybrid Permanent Magnet Assist Synchronous Reluctance Motor
In response to the urgent demand for low-rare-earth high-performance machines in the industrial scenario, this paper compares and analyzes the performance advantages of the hybrid permanent magnet-assisted synchronous reluctance motor (HPMA SynRM) topology combining ferrite and neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnet and proposes a design method based on hierarchical optimization. Firstly, 6 comparative models are established, including rare-earth PMSMs, ferrite-based/NdFeBbased PMA SynRM, and hybrid topologies. Multi-dimensional performance comparisons between them are carried out and the results show that the HPMA scheme not only combines the high saliency ratio and the strong anti-demagnetization capability, but also exhibits a power density close to that of PMSM. Aiming at the design difficulties caused by multiple types of flux barriers in HPMA SynRM, this paper proposes a design strategy based on full-parameter modeling, sensitivity analysis and hierarchical optimization, converting the high-dimensional multi-objective optimization problem into multiple low-dimensional optimization subproblems. In the case study, the Pareto optimal solution of HPMA SynRM is obtained through the double-layer optimization of torque density and ripple, providing a novel feasible approach for the design of HPMA motors with complex structures.
