Finite Element Analysis of Multi-Layer Leaf Spring Suspension Systems Enhanced with Elastic Pillows

The suspension system plays a crucial role in automotive performance by minimizing vibrations and shocks when vehicles are driven on uneven road surfaces. It helps reduce vertical vibrations of the wheels and prevents horizontal vibrations, ensuring stable power and torque transmission. Given its importance, automotive suspension systems have received considerable attention from researchers and major automobile manufacturers worldwide. Their focus is on optimizing structural design and reducing the overall weight of vehicles while maintaining excellent load-bearing capacity. This study utilizes numerical simulation methods to investigate the performance of a multi-layer leaf spring suspension system integrated with elastic support pillows. The objective is to evaluate the effectiveness of this hybrid system in improving ride comfort and structural efficiency under various loading conditions.
