Designated-Time Stabilization of Double-Tank Liquid Level System
This paper aims to solve a challenging problem in designated-time stabilization of double-tank liquid level system: the stability control of the liquid level in the water tank is realized within the specified time, so as to ensure that the liquid level in the water tank is kept within a certain range and the water flow is stable. The issue is how to control the double-tank system states to converge to the origin within a designated-time while not violating the output constraints. Based on the barrier function constructed by the constraint boundary and the reference signal, we develop a new continuous controller by introducing a time-varying function related to the given time. Compared with the existing tank level stabilization results, the proposed strategy achieves the designated-time convergence of the water tank system states. Finally, the stability of the liquid level system is studied experimentally, and the effectiveness of the control scheme is verified by MATLAB.
