Distributed Interval Observer Design over Directed Switching Topologies

In this paper, the problem of how to design a distributed interval observer for a continuous-time linear time invariant system with uncertainties is revisited from the perspective of communication topology associated with the framers. By leveraging existing network transformation mapping techniques under the premise that disturbances/noise bounds at each agent are known and only partial output information is accessible, autonomous subgraph partitioning is achieved and an asymptotic omniscience condition is established through recursive proof. A distributed interval observer for jointly connected directed switching networks is then constructed. Finally, rigorous mathematical analysis and numerical simulations are conducted to validate its effectiveness.
