Trigger Criterion for Emergency Adjustment in Distribution Network Repair Under Sudden Risks

Effective distribution network repair requires rapid and adaptive responses to sudden faults. However, traditional methods adjust repair strategies for all faults, including non-urgent ones that do not require immediate attention, leading to unnecessary resource consumption and adjustment costs. To address this, we propose an emergency adjustment criterion that evaluates fault urgency based on post-fault network connectivity, outage severity, and critical node impact. The criterion prioritizes adjustments for urgent faults, achieving outcomes comparable to conventional methods, while avoiding unnecessary actions for non-urgent cases. Tests on an IEEE 69-node radial network confirm that the method ensures timely responses to critical faults and reduces resource waste and adjustment costs for non-urgent ones, significantly improving repair efficiency.
