Optimizing Brake Pads with Composite Materials
The braking system is one of the most important parts of a vehicle, it can have risks on the safety of both the driver and passengers. This report focuses on identifying optimal materials that minimize impact on human health and the environment. Specifically, it propose to use composite materials replacement to traditional brake pad materials such as asbestos, which is a substance harmful to heath, specially lung diseases caused by inhaling asbestos dust produced during brake pad abrasion. The report focus on materials with rigid fiber structures to enhance brake pad performance. Additionally, it optimizes brake pad volume using CAE Ansys simulation tools, with the aim of making the brake system more powerful while optimizing material usage, meeting technical requirements, and reducing adverse effects on human health and the environment.
